Man, 30, appears in court charged with four attempted murders after four pedestrians were hit by car in Shaftesbury Avenue on Christmas Day

Anthony Gilheaney, 30, has been charged with four counts of attempted murder after four pedestrians were hit by a car in London's West End on Christmas Day, the Metropolitan Police said.



A 30-year-old man, Anthony Gilheaney, has been charged with four counts of attempted murder after he allegedly drove a car into four pedestrians on Shaftesbury Avenue in London's West End on Christmas Day. He is also facing charges of causing serious injury by driving whilst disqualified and possessing a knife in a public place. Four pedestrians were hospitalized, with one remaining in critical condition.
